Xiaomi Redmi 4, Redmi 4A and Note 4 are now available for preorder on Mi.com and Flipkart


Xiaomi’s entire budget smartphone lineup is going on sale today. This sale includes the Redmi 4A, Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 devices. The sales will happen via Xiaomi’s recently introduced pre-order system.
Interested buyers need simply head to the Mi.com website and pre-order the devices from 12 pm on 23 June. The devices will ship five days later. The Note 4 is the exception here and will go on sale on Flipkart.
The Redmi 4A is a Rs 5,999 smartphone with a 5-inch HD display, a 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 425 platform and 2 GB of RAM. You get either 16 GB or 32 GB of storage, depending on the variant you purchase. Storage can be expanded by 256 GB via a microSD card.
The camera is a 13 MP f/2.2 rear camera and a 5 MP f/2.2 front camera. In terms of connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS and 4G. The battery is a 3,120 mAh unit
The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
When we reviewed the device in April, we decided that it was the best entry-level smartphone in the market today.
The Redmi 4 sits between the 4A and the Note 4 and retails from Rs 8,999 onwards. In terms of hardware, it’s very similar to the Redmi 4. The platform is a Snapdragon 435 this time around, and it’s slightly more powerful. You also get more variants to choose from. This includes a 16/32/64 GB of storage alongside 2/3/4 GB of RAM respectively.

The camera on the Redmi 4 features a slightly larger aperture of f/2.0. Connectivity options remain the same. The battery is larger at 4,100 mAh.
And finally, the phone that can be considered the flagship of the Redmi range, the Note 4, will also be available. The Note 4 retails for Rs 12,999 and gives a number of devices in higher price brackets a run for their money.
The Note 4 features a far more powerful Snapdragon 625 platform and offers a 32 GB unit with either 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM and a 64 GB unit with 4 GB of RAM. Internal storage can be expanded by 256 GB via a microSD card.
The screen is larger at 5.5 inches and features a Full HD resolution. The camera and battery specifications are the same as on the Redmi 4.
